Construction timelapse video: progress reports and investors

Investors and leadership want progress: foundation, frame, facade, landscape. A one-off drone pass shows a moment; timelapse packs weeks into a minute. In Baku the format is sought for reporting and for sales-office screens.

A wrong angle shows the same wall for months. The ideal point holds facade, crane arcs and access road in one frame. Permits, power and vandalism risk sit in the brief. Sometimes two cameras are needed: whole site and a critical block.

On busy weekdays the interval is short. Quiet weekends pile surplus frames — cut in the edit. Rain and dust dirty the lens; without a housing and regular checks a week of material is lost.

Hard hats, fencing and warning boards stay in frame. That helps the brand, but consent and site rules still apply. Media7 agrees the shoot zone with the contractor.

One raw set yields three outputs: a longer dated internal report, a 60–90s investor teaser and 15–30s vertical Reels. Music and titles change with the audience.

On the agreed date: a graded, branded master plus platform cuts. At project end the same archive can build a “zero to opening” film. Live stream on opening day is a separate service — timelapse does not replace it; it completes it.
